My dog, Fred, was quite the happy camper this weekend at the Hotel Solamar in San Diego, CA. However, he wasn’t “ruff-ing it” given the signature pampered pet treatment that Kimpton Properties are known for. The Hotel Solamar welcomes dogs of any size (or any type of pet for that matter) to stay with no fee or deposit , no limit on the number of pets, and no height or weight restrictions. Pretty awesome!
Upon arrival, they gave Fred some doggie treats and outfitted our room with a plush dog bed and a food and water bowl as pictured above! My kids can’t stand leaving the dog in a kennel and knowing that this hotel with its stylish boutique human accomodations was so pet-friendly made me feel completely comfortable bringing him along.
San Diego in general is the ultimate pet playground where the city’s baseball team, the Padres, call Petco Park their home base. And many activities allow dogs such as this motor boat ride the family took with Fred front and center at the stern.
